1.1 Cutting
In the process of manufacturing the wind tower, first of all, the steel plate should be cut according to the requirements of the tapered section, and then the edge portion is cut according to the welding requirements. The traditional cutting often has many steps with high cost and low efficiency.
1.2 Longitudinal girth welding
Considering the shape of the welding seam and the welding speed, SAW submerged arc welding with higher deposition rate has become the first choice for the process used in the manufacture of wind towers. SAW (Single Wire Submerged Arc Welding): The traditional process of longitudinal and girth welding of towers, with a deposition rate of<15kg / h, has been gradually replaced. Tandem SAW (double electric double wire submerged arc welding): In double electric double wire submerged arc welding, two welding wires are simultaneously connected to their respective welding power sources, and are simultaneously fed to the welding wire by the wire feeding device, and the high deposition rate reaches 18- 22kg / h. Although the goal is to obtain a fairly round welded tank, the wind tower section usually has a slight deviation from the ideal shape, and this deviation will cause the tank to slide horizontally when rotating. Since the welding equipment is generally kept stable by the welding crane, a welding seam tracking system must be used to measure any movement of the workpiece and automatically adjust the welding.
