The edge milling machine is advanced and efficient milling equipment that implements the new technology of milling instead of planning. The lathe bed is welded with steel plate, which is advanced in design, reasonable in layout, firm in structure, strong in rigidity, small in deformation after internal stress treatment, and stable in use. In order to facilitate workpiece positioning and accurate processing, each section of the bed guide rail side is equipped with two blocking frames. The guide rail is made of high-quality carbon steel, which is first planed and shaped after overall quenching and tempering, and then fixed on the bed after surface quenching and fine grinding, so as to ensure good wear resistance of the guide rail and not easy to deform. The headstock adopts the standard milling power head specially manufactured by the machine tool factory. It is an integral cast iron casting. The transmission parts are installed in the box, and the spindle speed is driven by the AC motor. The speed of the spindle can be changed by changing gears. The speed range of the spindle box is 80-400 rpm. The spindle box is installed on the column and can be electrically lifted and lowered with the column slide plate. Press the spindle box motor to perform normal milling.
The main shaft is installed on the slide plate. When the worm shaft on the slide plate is rotated, the spindle box can be tilted 0-45° with the horizontal plane. The milling cutter head is installed at the end of the spindle, and different tools can be changed according to different milling conditions. A complete set of variable speed gears in the feed box. The feed box is installed at the lower part of the slide plate, and a gear extending out is matched with the long rack of the guide rail. Starting the feed motor can drive the sliding plate to run at the milling speed. The feed rate of the feed box is controlled by a two-speed motor, and the feed rate is 0.2-0.6M/min. when changing the speed, just press the required feed rate button. The feed box is equipped with a fast return motor with a return speed of 1.2m/min. The hydraulic control system is all installed on the right side of the bed and in the two large rooms of the bed cavity. The lower part is used as the oil storage tank, and the upper part is equipped with hydraulic components, an oil pump, and a motor.

Since the bed must be annealed, the surface of the guide rail is relatively soft, which affects the service life of the whole machine. The guide rail of our factory adopts high-quality 45 steel, which is forged and planed before quenching and tempering, and then it is fixed on the bed with screws after finishing, quenching, and grinding.
