With the development of modern industry and the continuous progress of welding technology, welding as a metal connection process method.In metal structure production has basically replaced the riveting connection process.Many traditional casting and forging products are also welded products or chain welding,forging and welding products have been replaced.


Welding structures are widely used in the chemical industry due to heavy and mining machinery,lifting and transportation equipment,automobile and ship manufacturing,aerospace technology,building structures and defense industries and other fields.In advanced industrial countries, the amount of steel used for welding products has reached more than 43% of the total amount of steel used.In order to manufacture such a large number of welded structural products,it is necessary to establish a large number of specialized factories for manufacturing welding structures, among which the welding position shifting machine is an important basis to meet the requirements of the welding process.


With the wide use of welding products in national defense industry,ship transportation, mechanical and chemical industry,the quality requirements of welding products are higher and higher.The traditional manual positioning can not meet the accuracy requirements,so the welding positioner should be used.In recent years and with the mature development of control theory, it has been applied to the common machinery,playing a more and more important role.


Generally, welding positioner can be divided into four categories: positioner, turnover machine, roller carrier and elevator

Positioner

Through the rotation and turnover of the worktable, all welding seams of the workpiece are in the most ideal position for welding
It is an ideal equipment for welding all kinds of rotary parts such as shafts, plates and cylinders. It can also be used to weld non long workpieces such as machine frame, machine base and machine light.
Attention should be paid to the following points when selecting positioner:

(1) The rotary welding positioner with proper tonnage should be selected according to the quality of the workpiece, the height from the center of gravity of the workpiece fixed on the worktable to the center of gravity of the table, and the center of gravity eccentricity.
(2) When welding circular weld on positioner, the rotation speed of worktable should be calculated according to workpiece diameter and welding speed: if positioner is only used for workpiece displacement, the rotation speed and tipping speed of worktable should be selected according to the geometric size and weight of workpiece, and the speed of large and heavy workpiece should be slower.
(3) Generally, the tilting speed of the worktable can not be adjusted. If welding is required during tilting, special requirements should be put forward for positioner.
(4) The rotary welding positioner should be connected with the welding ground wire position, and not affected by the rotation of the working table. It is not allowed to connect the welding ground wire to the positioner frame so as to make the welding current pass through the rotating parts of the bearing.
(5) The positioner with program control performance can be selected for mass production of shaped workpieces.
(6) The positioner can only make the workpiece rotate and turn.In order to make the welding process automatic and mechanized,the corresponding welding operation machinery should be considered.


Turning-roll


It is a mechanical device that drives cylindrical weldment to rotate with the help of friction between weldment and driving roller.It is mainly used in the assembly and welding of rotary parts, and its load can be from dozens of kg to more than dry tons. According to its structure, it can be divided into three categories:Self adjusting roller carrier,Long axis welding roller carrier,Combined welding roller carrier,Elevator.


It is a device used to lower workers and equipment to the required height. It is mainly used for manual welding and automatic welding and assembly of large weldments. The main structural forms are as follows:Tube structure elbow arm type, When the tube is simple, it is of arm type,Plate structure elbow type,Column type.
